Twenty-five thousand persons attended a Chanukah Festival held here Sunday night in the Chicago Stadium under the auspices of the Zionist Organization of Chicago for the benefit of two hundred and fifty Jewish organizations.
The gathering was the largest in the history of Chicago Jewry and was hailed by speakers as a token of the reawakening of Jewish consciousness. Similar celebrations are to be held annually.
Fifteen hundred young women took part in the dances and two hundred and fifty children were in the chorus.
