Twenty Jews were seriously wounded as a result of a pogrom staged by 600 anti-Semitic militia in Beuthen, the capital of Upper Silesia.
The militia barricaded the Banhoffstrasse and other leading streets and attacked all Jewish passers-by. The attacks on the Jews continued throughout Saturday night and until the early hours of Sunday.
