A new workshop school train 80 students annually in electrical and agro mechanical skills will be established in Tamara near Afula, Israel under the cosponsor ship of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and CARE, the American relief agency, it was announced here today. The school, which will be named for the American Jewish humorist, Harry Hershfield, will train young Israelis to maintain and repair agricultural equipment in use in neighboring settlements.
CARE equipment valued $7,400 is being provided through funds of the Eagles, a CARE member agency. The Israeli Government will finance the construction of a $10,000 building to house the school. Tamara is at the center of a number of Arab villages with a population totaling about 8,000.
