Arno Schneider, a Frankfurt machinist, has been sentenced to six months in jail for publicly insulting Jews. He was arrested for shouting in the Frankfurt railroad station that “Hitler was right” and “all Jews should be gassed and cremated.”

In nearby Darmstadt, Walter Klein, a businessman, was sentenced to five months in jail for anti-Semitic remarks and for beating up a Jewish DP who had objected to his remarks. Klein’s father, who was present during the incident in a tavern, was put on probation for five years, for making anti-Semitic remarks.
