Two Arab students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have been awarded the sixth annual Judah L. Magnes scholarships, it was announced here today by James Marshall, president of the Magnes Foundation. The recipients of the scholarships are Yosef Abu Dali Ibrahim, now in his third year at the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School, and Elias Shoufani, who is studying Islamic civilization at the university.
Established in tribute to the late first president of the Hebrew University, the Judah L. Magnes scholarships are awarded annually to Arab honor students at the university. More than 100 Arab students are currently enrolled at the university.
