Two Jews were honored here last week. Adolfo Bloch, the publisher of Brazil’s largest circulation weekly magazine, “Manchete,” and other illustrated magazines, was decorated with the French Legion of Honor. Leon Hirszman, a popular film director, received the annual “Margarida de Prata” award of the National Conference of Brazil’s Bishops for his film. “Sao Bernardo.”
