Two non-commissioned officers from the Duke of Wellington’s regiment who had been in Jaffa to purchase goods were murdered by a mob following a quarrel near Ramleh last night. Sergeants Walker and Dunn, the two murdered soldiers, were returning to Jerusalem in an army automobile when they were held up. Members of the mob quarreled with the soldiers during which they were murdered. The funeral will be held today.
