Two brothers who killed a fellow Israeli in a drug dispute in Sydney last year were sent to prison.

Dror Salah, 33, was sentenced last week to a maximum of eight years, nine months for fatally stabbing Hernan Guelman, 38, outside a convenience store in Bondi Beach last August. Ezra Salah, 32, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and was sentenced to a maximum of three years. New South Wales Supreme Court Justice Peter Johnson said Guelman called Dror Salah “an Arab” during their altercation over a cannabis deal. “Dror then stabbed the deceased six times in a struggle, [and] two of those wounds were immediately life threatening,” he said.

Guelman died in the hospital. His body was flown to Israel for burial. Johnson said the Salah brothers would likely be deported to Israel when they are released.
