Two Chicago Congregations Induct Rabbis

Spiritual leaders of two Chicago congregations were formally inducted into office. Dr. Abraham Lobel, formerly of London, assumed the pulpit of Congregation B’nai David Haddon, and Rabbi Israel H. Weisfeld assumed the leadership of Agudath Achmin North Shore Congregation. Leading rabbis of Chicago participated in the installation services.

Dr. Lobel, who was born in Jerusalem, was educated in England, graduating from St. George College. He received his ordination in Palestine and America and has occupied pulpits in St. Louis and Dayton, O. He is an executive board member of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America and a member of the Assembly of Orthodox Rabbis.

Cantor Aaron Kritz will be formally installed by the Agudath Achmin North Shore Congregation on September 11.
