Alberto Fernsohn of Holland and David Mendon of England, volunteer workers at a kibbutz in the Jordan Valley, were on a hitchhiking tour during a day off from the kibbutz when they decided to explore southern Golan Heights near Tawafiq which is above Tel Katzir.
