Two congregations have recently joined the Union of American Hebrew Congregations it was announced. These are the Progressive Synagogue of Brooklyn of which Adolph Lautman is president and Rabbi J. B. Polak is spiritual head and Congregation of B’nai Israel of Petoskey, Mich., whose president is Aleck Rosenthal. Joseph Friedman, a student of Hebrew Union College is officiating there bi-weekly at present.
