Two Democrats in Congress are asking colleagues to sign on to a resolution that condemns Hamas incitement. “Rockets and attacks by Hamas kills innocent Israelis, but even more sickening are their efforts to use their television network, Al-Aksa TV, to air a children’s show ,’Tomorrow’s Pioneers,’ to breed new terrorists through hatred for Israel and Western nations,” says the letter sent April 1 by U.S. Reps. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.) and Tim Mahoney (D-Fla.) to their colleagues. “In the past, they have used Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny look-alikes to tell children they, ‘will finish off the Jews and eat them.’ Now, Hamas has a puppet show that depicts President Bush being murdered. This blatant propaganda aims to indoctrinate children, incite them toward hatred and violence against Israel, and undermine efforts to firmly establish peace in the Middle East for generations to come.”
