A Rome criminal court yesterday sentenced a nephew of Mussolini and a writer for suggesting in print that the Nazi gas chambers were a better solution of the Jewish problem than the creation of the State of Israel. The Fascists are expected to appeal their eight-month prison terms to a higher court.

The complainant against the two was the Union of Jewish Communities of Italy. The nephew of II Duce is editor Vanni Teodorani and his associate is writer Pietro Montagiani. The article appeared in the Fascist newspaper Asso di Bastoni.
