Two Foreign-born Jews Honored in Rio for Contributions to Brazil

Two foreign-born Brazilian Jews were named by the newspaper O Giobo here, today, among 10 prominent personalities awarded the status of Carioca Honerario, or Honorary Citizen of Rio de Janeiro. They are Dr. Regina Feigl, wife of the famous chemist, Fritz Feigl; and Adolfo Bloch, well-known publisher who issues the highly popular weekly, Manchete.

Dr. Regina Feigl was cited for constructing some of the outstanding buildings in this country, including a 35-story skyscraper, the tallest building in Latin America. She was born in Poland. Mr. Bloch was honored for his general publishing achievements, which includes a number of large circulation weeklies. He was born in Russia.
