Tension rose high this week in Nablus, following the killing of a leader of the local “shock committees” that exercises brutality against violators of the intifada.
The man, Moussa Sa’ad, 24, was apparently shot by Israel Defense Force soldiers while trying to flee when the soldiers came to arrest him at his residence.
Riots broke out in the city following his death, with 13 residents wounded.
In a clash between stone throwers and an IDF patrol in a village near Jenin, an 3-year-old boy was wounded by a plastic bullet in the head, and an 8-year-old was wounded in his leg. The child suffering the head injury was reported in serious condition at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
