Two Israeli border policemen, a sergeant and a constable, have started life sentences for killing two Arab workmen in the West Bank last year. The policemen had been driving a jeep which nearly collided with a truck driven by the two Arabs, both employes of the Public Works Department, The near collision took place northwest of Jerusalem. An argument developed and the sergeant ordered the Arabs into the jeep. Testimony indicated the Arabs were driven to an empty field and shot in the back by the sergeant.
