Two Jewish youths today were sentenced to five weeks’ imprisonment for attacking Fascists selling copies of the Fascist weekly in Piccadilly last night. Conflicting reports about the cause of the fighting in which one Fascist was knocked unconscious, circulated in the London press today. Some of the papers suggested that several women objected to the selling of the weekly and that the two boys, John Feigenbaum, 23, and Hyman Goldstein, 17, intervened. Others maintained that an organized Jewish group began to fight with the Fascists.

Seven were arrested in the scrimmage. Two participants in the fight, including one of the Fascists, were fined nominal amounts. The two imprisoned Jewish youths announced they would appeal the verdict of the court.
