Two Jewish youths of this city were among nine leftist terrorists condemned here by a military court to life imprisonment for the 1970 kidnaping of Ehrenfried von Holleben, the West German ambassador to Brazil. The two, Jose Mauricio Gradel and Alfredo Helio Sirkys, have been at large since the incident and were tried in absentia. Von Holleben was released after five days when the Brazilian government made good on an agreement to release 40 political prisoners and let them go to Algeria.
