Two Jews Among Six Award Winners of Argentine Academy of Medicine Prizes

Two Jews were among the six prize winners of the annual awards of the Argentine National Academy of Medicine, it was announced ##ere.The most important prize, the Mariono Castex Award, was presented to Dr. Alfredo Pavlosky, chief of the Institute of Radiology and Physiotherapy. The second Jew was Dr. Jose Sverdlick, specialist in eye diseases. Dr. Pavlosky is a former assistant to Dr. Bernardo Houssay, who was awarded this year’s Nobel prize for medicine.
