Two Jews, suspected of being responsible for the recent outbreaks in Haifa, were killed yesterday in the Yavniel settlement in an exchange of shots with the police. The police surrounded a house in the settlement when they were informed that two terrorists were hiding there. They were met by gun fire from the house and replied, killing the two men inside. No police casualties were reported.
An exchange of shots took place last night in Jerusalem and in Tel Aviv between police and persons distributing leaflets of the terrorist organization Irgun Zvai Leum. No casualties were reported and no arrests were made.
