Two Jews are among the five candidates of opposition groups in Buenos Aires who were elected to the Chamber of Deputies in Sunday’s general elections, it became known today when the final results were released. They are Santiago Nudelman and Manuel Belnikoff.

Ezequiel Zabotinsky, the only Jewish candidate on the Peronist ticket, was defeated. Peronistas, who won 23 of the 28 seats to which the province of Buenos Aires is entitled, have asked for a recount in the Congressional districts of this city where they lost.
