Two more Soviet Jews have been condemned to death in another mass trial of so-called economic criminals, this time in the Ukrainian city of Ivanov-Frankovsk, according to the official organ of the Ukrainian Communist Party, received here today.
The report, appearing in “Pravda Ukrainy, ” published in Kiev, on February 21, told of a trial in which “several workers in a meat cooperative were convicted of speculation and thievery, ” The newspaper named two of the convicted men, stressing the. death sentences imposed on them, as Dubovitzki and Kerker–both Jewish names.
