Two new systems will be in place within a year to protect passenger planes over Israeli air space, Israel’s transportation minister said Tuesday. Ephraim Sneh told a news conference that one of the systems is aimed at recognizing unidentified aircraft. The other will protect planes from shoulder-launched missiles.
