Funeral services were held here today for the Rev. Philip Shore, 62, and the Rev. Joseph Sholson, 55, who were killed yesterday in an auto accident near South Amboy. Both men were active in the communal and religious life of the orthodox community.
Mrs. Shore, and Samuel Levine, also of this city, who was driving the car in which the three others were occupants, are in a critical condition in Matawan Hospital.
The auto crashed into a truck loaded with bricks and was so badly demolished that it had to be taken apart to extricate the occupants. The truck was operated by Stanley Savitsky of Cliffwood, N. J., who was held on a technical charge of manslaughter.
