Two San Francisco-area Jewish museums officially merged this month. The Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley and the Jewish Museum San Francisco combined facilities, collections, boards, staff and budgets as of Jan. 1. Called Magnes Museum, the new institution has two locations.
