This town has amazed itself by raising $1,700 for the United Jewish Appeal. The Jewish community here consists of some 40 families. The plans of the campaign committee are to continue its effort until the contributions reach and pass $2,000. Much of the success of Tyler’s campaign is due to the stirring appeal made here recently by Rabbi H. Raphael Gold, of Dallas.
