A delegation of the American Commission for Polish Relief was officially advised in Warsaw that only 8 percent of typhus cases are Polish and the rest are Jewish, necessitating isolation of the Jewish quarter behind barbed wire, according to the Krakauer Zeitung, Nazi organ in Poland.
The paper reports that the statement was made to the delegation by Prof. Richter, medical officer of the Warsaw District, in a speech made during a reception at the home of the Governor of Warsaw.
It is learned here that the celebrated synagogue of the Rabbi of Belz has been transformed by the Nazis into a granary.
