The 1947 national conference of the United Jewish Appeal will be held in Atlantic City, from December 12-15, it was announced today. The conference will ##der a repoft on the results of this year’s $170,000,000 campaign and will also decide the quota for the 1948 drive.
Meanwhile, U.J.A. national headquarters announced that the Jewish community of Boston has for the second successive year surpassed its goal–this year $9,100,000. Henry Morgenthau Jr., U.J.A. general chairman, in a message to Herman Gilman, chairman of the Boston campaign, hailed the successful campaign as an “example of high inspiration for the entire country.” It was also reported that Archbishop Richard J. Cushing had contributed $2,500 to the Boston drive.
