An official fact-finding United Jewish Appeal delegation of four top national officers left John F. Kennedy airport here tonight for Israel to make an intensive study of increased welfare needs there. They will survey UJA-supported facilities, confer with Jewish Agency leaders and report their findings to Jewish communities throughout the United States next Tuesday noon, June 20, via a nation-wide telephone hookup.
Delegation members are Edward Ginsberg of Cleveland, UJA associate general chairman; Mrs. Harry L. Jones, of Detroit, national women’s division chairman; Leonard D. Bell of Lewiston Maine, Young Leadership Cabinet chairman; and Irving Bernstein, New York, UJA assistant executive vice-chairman.
