Fifteen directors of community campaigns affiliated with the nationwide United Jewish Appeal will leave New York early next month to carry out a four-week Executive Survey of the migration settlement, welfare and rehabilitation programs that are financed by the UJA in overseas lands, it was announced today by Rabbi Herbert A. Friedman, UJA executive vice-chairman.
The findings of the group, he stated, will help these executives formulate plans for the conduct of their local campaigns this fall and next year. The group will go first to Israel, where it will meet with officials of both the Government and the Jewish Agency It will then proceed to Paris for consultations with Joint Distribution Committee officials on the welfare, relief, medical and rehabilitation programs which the JDC conducts in most of western Europe, in Moslem countries and in Israel.
