The 140 young American Jewish community leaders participating in a United Jewish Appeal Young Leadership Mission began today an 11-day intensive tour of Israel which will take them from Dan in the north to Eilat in the south and will include a visit to the shores of the Dead Sea and an ascent to the ancient Massada fortress.

The group, which is headed by Rabbi Herbert Friedman, executive vice-chairman of the U.J. A., will meet with President Izhak Ben-Zvi, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, Cabinet Ministers, Jewish Agency leaders and military personnel.
