A four-hour meeting this week-end between United Nations truce chief Maj. Gen. William E. Riley and Dr. Walter Eytan and Reuven Shiloah of the Israeli Foreign Ministry failed to make any headway towards solution of the Israeli-Syrian dispute over Israel’s reclamation of the Huleh marshes, it was learned today.
Gen. Riley had been expected to bring new proposals for settlement of the dispute after conferring with Syrian Government officials. He left after the meeting for his headquarters in Beirut.
