A decision to recommend that the United Nations General Assembly should not consider at its present session here the substance of the proposals on measures of implementation of the International Covenant on Human Rights, was adopted yesterday by the U.N. Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee which deals with the human rights issue.
The committee approved a revised version of a proposal sponsored by Denmark, New Zealand, Norway and Sweden, the substance of which would refer the relevant documents to the Commission on Human Rights, so that the Commission could submit recommendations to next year’s session of the Assembly.
