Israel has been awarded an $18, 290 contract to study means of protecting persons against heavy doses of radiation, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced here today.
Under the contract, researchers in the department of experimental biology of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot will examine the secondary effects resulting from the injection of bone marrow as an antidote to harmful radiation.
