The Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission will meet in emergency session tomorrow morning, at the request of the Israel Government, to act on the murder of an Israeli policeman last night by Jordanians.
A joint Israeli-Jordan investigation today confirmed that the policeman was murdered on Israeli soil, at least 100 yards inside the Israeli lines. He was hit when a unit of steel helmeted Jordan troops suddenly opened fire on an Israeli police patrol in the northern part of Jerusalem. The investigators today found four submachine gun cartridges inside Israel, at the scene of the killing.
