The United Nations Palestine Conciliation Commission will submit to Israel and its Arab neighbors a plan for the demarcation of permanent borders as soon as both parties have accepted the latest secret proposals put forth by the Commission on a procedure for peace negotiations, it was learned here today from highly authoritative sources.
The Commission has suggested that all parties concerned enter into direct negotiations under its auspices. While U.N. sources here are optimistic over the possibilities of the plan’s acceptance, it has been learned that the Israel Government will hand the Commission a request that it imduce the Arabs to enter into direct talks or give up its heretofore fruitless mediation efforts.
