The United Nations Legal Committee today discussed several new amendments to the resolution outlawing genocide as an international crime. All the delegates urged the unanimous approval of the resolution when it is completed.
When no agreement was reached on the exact wording of the resolution, the committee decided to submit the matter of drawing it up to a sub-committee of the nine nations which have presented amendments. The sub-committee was asked to have the compromise draft ready next week.
