united Nations Palestine mediator Count Folke Bernadotte will begin a series of “technical” talks with small panels of Arab and Jewish representatives tomorrow at his headquarters here in preparation For discussions on a higher level which will lead to a settlement of the Palestine problem.
A senior member of Bernadotte’s staff told correspondents here today: “We have not asked the Jews or Arabs for anyone on the political Israel yet. The talks within the next few days will be technical and in a sense exploratory. Our main concern for the time being is to keep things from freezing. “
