The four surviving members of an Israel patrol captured by Syrian troops last December are all in good health and high spirits in a Damascus prison, Col, J. Castanguay, chairman of the Israel-Syrian Mixed Armistice Commission, today informed United Nations truce supervision headquarters here.
Col. Castanguay, who is now in Damascus where he went to interview the four Israel soldiers and to seek their release, telegraphed UN headquarters, here that he had informed the men of the MAC resolution requesting their immediate release and of the appeal by Gen. E.L.M. Burns, UN truce chief, to Syria in their behalf.
