A resolution calling on the United Nations to expurgate from all textbooks statements defamatory of any people or ethnic group was adopted here at a meeting of non-governmental agencies affiliated with the U.N. and representing organizations in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Among the groups participating in the parley were the World Jewish Congress, Joint Distribution Committee, Agudas Israel and Alliance Israelite Universelle.

The resolution, which was introduced by the W.J.C. delegation, also urged that the U.N. convention outlawing genocide and the U.N. Declaration on Human Rights henceforth be included in textbooks.
