One thousand men and women are expected to attend the banquet this evening which will inaugurate Philadelphia’s drive for the United Palestine Appeal.
Judge Julian W. Mack, vice-chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, will be the principal speaker. Addresses will also be made by Judge William M. Lewis, national chairman of the United Palestine Appeal and Sol. C. Kraus, chairman of the local drive.
One hundred teams under the leadership of Mr. Kraus and Mrs. Max L. Margolis, have been organized.
Reports of the progress made will be offered at daily luncheons. The campaign will be brought to a close on May 25th.
