Ogden Reid, Jr., held his final press conference today before his return to the United States on termination of his term as American Ambassador with the change in national administration in the United States.
Mr. Reid, who is scheduled to leave for the United States Thursday, expressed regret at the “untimely termination” of his services and spoke of the friendly relations between Israel and the United States. He hailed Israel’s aid to new African nations.
He said he and his family had been well received in Israel and had become absorbed in Israel’s life. He was a guest of honor today at a special luncheon held in Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion’s home in Tel Aviv.
