U.S. and Israeli legislators are forming a committee to monitor international efforts to return property taken from Holocaust victims. Knesset member Avraham Herschson of the Likud Party said he and Rep. Ben Gilman (R-N.Y.) will head the committee, created to follow up on a conference on Holocaust-era assets held last month in Washington. The assets, including gold, real estate and artworks, are worth several billion dollars, Herschson said.
