U.S. and Israeli officials said they would move forward with a plan for Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. Sunday’s Likud Party referendum rejecting the pullout “adds some complications,” Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Daniel Ayalon, said Monday at an Anti-Defamation League conference in Washington. But “this is not the final result,” he said.
