Non-Jewish escapees from the Communist countries of Europe are being trained by the ORT, Max Broude, European director of the ORT, revealed here today.
Mr. Broude said that this action was taken following a United States Government request that the organization assist in the work of training and rehabilitating hundreds of these refugees from the Communist countries. “More than 1,000 non-Jewish escapees are being equipped for a new life in the Western Hemisphere through the technical faculties offered by our 75-year-old Jewish organization,” be declared.
