Israel was described today as “one of the most remarkable examples of democracy in the world” by Dr. Robert Hutchins, president of the Fund for the Republic and former Chancellor of the University of Chicago.
During a visit here, Dr. Hutchins said most new and developing nations have difficulty in establishing democratic regimes but that Israel, despite its “unexampled” rate of development, had succeeded in that task.
