The United States Information Service in Israel is making arrangements to permit Israel book publishers to obtain paper from the United States without the use of foreign currency, it was announced here last night.
Under the arrangements, Israeli book publishers would pay for the paper in Israeli currency which would be used by the U.S. Embassy here to meet its bills, while the U.S. Government would pay the paper mills in the United States. Similar arrangements are in effect for American publications and school supplies.
