Forty-four Jewish youth leaders from the United States and Canada will fly from here for Israel on Sunday for a year’s study and training under scholarships granted them by various Zionist organizations, it was announced today by the Jewish Agency.
The flight will mark the beginning of the first large-scale leadership institute for American Zionist youths, the primary object of which is to train young American Jews for leadership roles in the Zionist youth movement. The institute will also be attended by some 60 students from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Latin America. Upon returning home the students will spend a year in service with the organization which sponsored their scholarships.
