A cattle-breeding and meat-packing project involving a capital investment of $5,000,000 and which ultimately would provide Israel with the greater part of its meat supply is now being studied by a group of American cattle breeders, it was reported here today.
Arthur S Wolpe, of Beverly Hills, Cal., attorney and representative of the group, who is now visiting here, said today that areas had been assigned for the project in the Negev and the Galilee. After these grasslands are ready, breeding stock will be brought in at the rate of some thousands of heads monthly for the first year.
