United States Chief Justice Earl Warren arrived in Israel for a week’s unofficial visit. He was met at the airport by the president of Israel’s Supreme Court, Justice Yitzhak Olshan, by the Chairman of the Israel Chamber of Advocates and by representatives of the Foreign Ministry and of the U.S. Embassy.
During his stay Chief Justice Earl Warren will meet Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, Justice Minister Dov Joseph and will sit on the bench of the Supreme Court during a case to be heard before it on Monday. He will also lecture at the Hebrew University Law School.
